MetroPCS is reportedly preparing to launch HTC’s latest Android smartphone ‘Wildfire S’ on their network. The handset is said to be available in stores and online starting this week for $179 without contract (tax included). To refresh your memory, the Wildfire S offers a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen display, a 600MHz processor, a 512MB RAM, a 5.0-megapixel autofocus camera, HTC’s Sense Custom Interface, GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and runs on Android 2.3 OS.
