The handset is said to be available in stores and online starting this week for $179 without contract (tax included). This entry-level smartphone is expected to retail for $249.95 outright. As for the specs, the Optimus Net is packed with a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor, a 512MB RAM, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), a VGA front-facing camera, a 3.15MP rear-facing camera, GPS, 3G, WiFi and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. A new Android smartphone from LG has just been introduced in Russia. Known as the LG Optimus Link, the handset packs a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227T processor, an Adreno 200 GPU, a 512MB RAM, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), a front-facing camera, a 3.0MP rear-facing camera, an FM tuner, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB port, GSM and HSDPA network support and runs on Android 2.3 OS.
